Metal Mario is a powered-up form of Mario that appeared first in Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64. This form is acquired by collecting a metal cap and gives Mario an almost invincible state of character. While Metal Mario is invincible to most damaging sources to the game, his only weakness is to be hurt from long falls.
