Metal. Attach the arm to your tree to display a favorite ornament! To attach to the tree: The strap is bent around the tree, a screw is put through the appropriate holes and a wing nut is used to tighten. No tools needed. Bend strap with holes to allow to go around the tree. Place the bracket against the trunk of the tree. Secure bracket by inserting, and securing, the supplied bolt and nut in the holes that will give you the fit to the trunk of the tree. If too loose, move the bolt and nut in to closer holes. The length of the arm can be adjusted. Press the button on the bottom of the arm to move to the preferred hole and allow to snap in place.
